Hydro and RES industry promoted at highest level in US and Latin America
European Small Hydropower Association (ESHA) President Marko Gospodjinacki participates in a mission trip to the US, Mexico and Colombia organised by Vice President of the European Commission, Antonio Tajani, to promote the EU’s RES and hydropower industry and look for new business opportunities.
From 10-17 May, ESHA’s President will participate in high-level political meetings in Washington, Mexico and Bogota, with additional business-to-business contacts from industrial sectors such as green economy, technology, construction, renewable energy and electricity. Discussion will focus on ways to create a more favourable environment to support innovation, growth and jobs on both sides of the Atlantic.
“The European renewable industry generates €70 billion revenues and creates 550,000 jobs in Europe. This sector has also an important growing potential which can be exploited by stronger cooperation with the US and Latin America in terms of technological development and export activities.”, says Marko Gospodjinacki. “As ESHA President, I will also recall the specific benefits of hydropower industry and its particular cost-efficient character”.
