Renewable Energies Small Scale Systems in Mountain Territories

OBJECTIVE: To promote good practices in the use of small-scale renewable energy systems in terms of mini-hydro and wind power in mountain areas in the EU. To identify the potentialities in each area for the use of mini-hydro and wind power. To raise awareness of the advantages of the use of small-scale systems for energy use. To train specialists in companies, municipalities, farmers in the use of small-scale mini-hydro and wind power installations in mountain areas.

WORKING PLAN:

• WP1: project management
• WP2: Promotion of Good practices in the use of small-scale renewable energy systems
• WP3: Analysis of the potentialities of the areas involved with regard to the use of small-scale systems for the exploitation of renewable energies
• WP4: Campaign of awareness, consciousness and dissemination with regard to renewable energies in general and mini-hydro and wind installations in particular
• WP5: Training in the use of small-scale systems for the exploitation of mini-hydro and wind energies: e-training course.
• WP6: Monitoring and evaluation; design of a Continuous Project Evaluation Plan: definition of evaluation indicators, specifying of resources, methods and scheduling.
