CONFERENCE CONCLUSIONS

Hidroenergia 2008 was a great success! Over 250 leading experts from the small hydropower sector covering 36 countries gathered together in the beautiful town of Bled, Slovenia. This year’s programme focused on two crucial issues: The role of small hydropower within the EU Energy and Climate Package and Sustainability. With more than 17,800 small hydropower schemes and a total of installed capacity 12,333 MW in EU-27, the SHP sector plays an important part in meeting today’s urgent need for clean energy. LOCATION & VENUE

HIDROENERGIA has never been held so far east in Europe. The location of the conference is Hotel Golf in the town of Bled, Slovenia.

Slovenia lies geographically on the crossroads of trading routes towards the Balkan countries where the all important small hydro game is happening right now. The little town of Bled is situated in the north-west of Slovenia at the heart of the Julian Alps and under Slovenia's highest mountains.

EXHIBITION

A two-day presentation of machinery and electrical equipment for small hydropower plants, construction materials and engineering solutions took place throughout the conference. SHP's proven technology is not old! It constantly evolves with many innovations each year, so join us in demonstration!
