4th Thematic Network on Small Hydropower: R&D Strategy and Needs for the Small Hydropower Sector, Porto, Portugal, 19th October 2004.
R&D Strategy and Needs for SHP
- Connected by a European network, the small hydropower sector keeps on improving itself through the fields of engineering, environment and marketing. So as to take the opportunity to address a panel of specialists during the Hydro 2004 conference, the engineering group proposed a two-hour workshop dealing with R&D strategy and needs for the small hydropower sector.
- After these presentations, the discussion was open to the floor in order to allow the audience to share their feelings about R&D in the small hydro sector.
- The results of this workshop are regrouped in the paper "European strategy document for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration in Small Hydropower", which will serve as input for the European Commission Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).
