EU-Pakistan Project

The EU-Pakistan - renewable energy capacity building & matchmaking project - began in April 2007 and will continue for 12 months until March 2008 mainly under EU ASIA INVEST FUNDING.

This project deals mainly with hydropower, solar, and wind energy.

Its main activities are to:

• Market Information: Create awareness in Europe for for business opportunities in the renewable energy sector in Pakistan
• Technical Seminars: To organise two capacity building seminars in Pakistan for companies wishing to get involved in the renewables sector
• Company Matchmaking: To Organise two partnership building events in Pakistan (Karachi and Islamabad) for mutual business encounters between EU and Pakistani companies.
• Reporting: Inform about the project status via the internet homepage
